Permanent Holiday

I wanted to make a drink for Doug’s birthday that was a little weirder. John didn’t share my enthusiasm and suggested I pick a bourbon-based drink.

So I went looking for a bourbon-based tiki drink and found the Permanent Holiday.

The moment I saw the name, I knew it was the right choice, because Doug himself has been on something of a permanent holiday.

½ oz lime juice (15 ml)

½ oz passion fruit syrup (15 ml)

1 oz grapefruit juice (30 ml)

½ oz Licor 43 (15 ml)

1 oz Averna (30 ml)

1 oz bourbon (30 ml)

This was scaled up for ~20 servings. I used a milk frother to aerate the citrus, and went with Wild Turkey 101 (8-year). It was delicious.
